From 2026, Horror Con Scotland is moving to one main event a year. Instead of spreading things out, we’re putting everything into one packed, full-on horror day that supports Scottish creatives and shows off the talent we have right here in Scotland.
This isn’t just for fans. It’s also where horror professionals and people who want to work in horror can meet, talk and start new projects – filmmakers, writers, SFX artists, performers, indie makers and horror lovers all under one roof.
What to expect
Horror Con Scotland is a full-day horror festival in one venue, with:
• Traders Area full of indie, alternative and horror-themed makers, with a big focus on Scottish stalls
• Immersive scare zones and themed areas you can walk through and interact with
• Stage content like Q&As, panels, games and contests
• Chance to meet horror guests from on and off the screen
• Chances to meet other horror creatives, from beginners and students to working pros
Traders Area – real people, real craft, no AI
Our Traders Area is there to support real makers. When you buy something, you’re helping a person, not a prompt.
You’ll find:
• Artists, illustrators and printmakers
• Authors, small presses and zine makers
• Prop builders, spooky home décor and alternative fashion
• Collectibles, posters and horror media
We have a clear rule: no AI-generated art or AI-made merch. If it’s here, a human made it.
Immersive horror experiences
If you like to get properly stuck in, this is where the chaos lives.
In 2025, we teamed up with Dead by Daylight to build a mini experience where teams had to fix a generator while a killer hunted them. That fast, stressful, “are we actually going to make it?” feeling is what we want more of.
You can expect:
• New themed areas each year
• Walk-through scenes and sets
• Roaming characters and live performances
• Hidden story details and little challenges around the space
Community, skills and Scottish focus
You’ll also find:
• Practical Effects Assembly Area with SFX demos, props and costume work
• Panels and talks focused on Scottish horror and indie projects
• A friendly cosplay atmosphere, from first-timers to serious competitors, plus contests on stage
From 2026, everything comes together in this one yearly Horror Con Scotland event – one day built to celebrate horror, support Scottish creatives and show how much talent we have here in Scotland.
