Still deciding how to spend Halloween in Paisley? On Friday 30 October 2026, we’re taking over Paisley Town Hall from 5pm to 10pm for Horror Con Halloween: an evening of burlesque, horror quizzes, independent traders and a chance to perfect your zombie shuffle.
The event is strictly for over 18s. There’s plenty included in your entry ticket, so here’s a look at what you can get up to and how to plan your evening.
A Halloween cocktail or mocktail
Your ticket includes one Halloween cocktail or mocktail. Pick your drink and settle into the evening, or take a look around before the entertainment begins.
The bar will also have Halloween-themed drinks and food available throughout the night, including vegan options. Bring spending money for any extra drinks, food or shopping.
Learn to move like the walking dead
Ever wondered what makes a convincing zombie? Head upstairs to The Spinning Shed for The Undead Academy, a taster session with Scare Scotland’s Stevie Douglas and Chris Campbell.
You’ll work on the movement and performance that turn a person into a member of the undead. The session is included in your ticket, with classes at 5.45pm, 6.15pm, 6.45pm, 7.15pm and 7.45pm. Class sizes are limited, so make this part of your plan if you’re keen to join in.
Sign up for the Zombie Contest at the end of your Undead Academy session. The contest takes place at 8.30pm on the main stage, with a chance to win a prize.
Put your horror knowledge to work
Think you’re the person everyone wants on their horror quiz team? Time to find out. Our quizzes take place at 6pm and 8pm in the Jacquard Suite upstairs, with Halloween treats to be won.
Entry is included in your ticket. Teams can have up to five people, and seating is first come, first served. Pick the time that fits around your other plans and get your team together.
Get a photo worth keeping
If you’ve spent time on your Halloween look, give it a moment in front of the camera. Nightmare Fuel Photography will be in The Loggia upstairs for photo opportunities.
Both the photo shoot and digital images are included in your entry ticket. Your images will be available to download two weeks after the event, giving you a proper keepsake from the night.
Burlesque, costumes and a turn on the main stage
The main stage on the ground floor hosts burlesque at 7.30pm, followed by the Zombie Contest at 8.30pm and the Costume & Makeup Contest at 9pm. There’s more burlesque after the costume contest, too.
Want to enter the Costume & Makeup Contest? Sign up in the Jacquard Suite upstairs between 7pm and 8pm, then show off your look on the main stage at 9pm. Entry is included in your ticket, with prizes to be won and winners announced straight afterwards.
You can also enjoy the contests from the audience and cheer on the people brave enough to take the stage.
Browse the horror market
Make time for the horror market in the Main Hall on the ground floor. It’s a chance to browse independent horror traders and support the people creating things for fellow fans.
Leave yourself a little browsing time between activities. Your evening doesn’t have to be a race from one session to the next.
